TikTok Content Strategy scope of work

Month 1: Initializing

The first month of the three-month project is all about laying the groundwork for the TikTok strategy you’ll create for the client.

Start by researching up to three aspirational brands to identify unique traits, messages, positioning styles, or behaviors to incorporate into your client’s brand strategy. Put together one report of your findings for the client.

Next, you’ll develop your recommended TikTok strategy based on the client’s goals and your initial research from the brand audits. The strategy should include content topics, best practices, and a trend briefing.

Month 2: Scaling

Onto month two! Now that you have a strategy in place, it’s time to set up the systems that will help your client create and execute standout content on TikTok.

Work with the client to establish high-level goals and objectives for their TikTok strategy. Everyone wants to be on TikTok these days, but what are your client’s specific reasons for being there? What do they want to get out of their TikTok content? Get clear on those objectives and document them for the strategy.

This phase is also a good time to develop a social media influencer strategy so your client has guidance to follow when it comes time to partner with TikTok influencers on branded content.

Next, you’ll need to employ the expertise of a brand designer to design a series of brand elements, styles, or user interface components (no more than 10) that can be reused by the client once they start creating TikTok content. If you aren’t already connected to a designer, tap into a community of freelancers to find a brand designer you can team up with. Our scope of work template recommends charging for one series of designs.

Month 3: Handoff

To wrap up the project, the final month will focus on handing off everything to the client. The goal of this phase is to make sure the client has everything they need to be successful once the project is complete.

The brand designer will be in charge of delivering a folder that includes all of the branding materials created during the previous phase.

Finally, the content strategist will create a training document and conduct social media training for the client to follow once they begin executing their new TikTok content strategy.
